Swamped with your writing assignments? Take the weight off your shoulder!
You will imagine that you work for a company called GlobalCorp in their Research and Development Department. They send you to a conference and ask that you write a memorandum to the department describing the information you heard there. At this conference, you hear the following lecture linked below titled “The business case for working with your toughest critics” by Bob Langert: https://www.ted.com/talks/bob_langert_the_business_case_for_working_with_your_toughest_critics?language=en
Your boss expects you to write and present a professional memo detailing the important facts, examples, and takeaways from the lecture. Your boss is counting on you to get it right and relay all the information to the rest of your department since you were the only one the company paid to send.
Use the template below if you like, but you are free to use another memo template or start a memo from scratch so long as your assignment conforms to the memo format outlined in class 7 presentations with a header and bullet pointed message.
